The results of CSS exam 2024 will be issued by April-end.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday reserved the verdict on the petitions challenging the holding of the Central Superior Service Exam (CSS) exam afresh without first issuing the results of the exam held in the preceding year, 2024, reported The Asian Mirror.
Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) Chairman Lt General (r) Akhtar Nawaz Satti appeared in the court.
Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani told him that the students had reservations over holding the exam again without first issuing the results of the one held last year.
“We had referred the matter to the FPSC. But you rejected it,” he said to Satti.
The FPSC chairman told the judge that the announcement for the CSS exam in 2025 had been made prior to his joining the commission.
“If the exam had been postponed, it would have affected the entire schedule and created issues for the students who were to appear in the exam later,” he explained.
He prayed to the court to reject the petition so that the FPSC could conduct the exam afresh.
The judge asked him whether he could cite a single instance in which the results of the exam held in the previous year had been announced after the next year’s exam.
The FPSC commission replied, “No, this has never been the case.”
Justice Kayani asked him what kind of protection he could provide to the students, who had been affected by the situation.
Satti informed the judge that the results of the CSS exam conducted in 2024 would be issued in the last week of April 2025.
“And we will try to issue the results even before if it is possible.”
