Sources close to the player said that Fakhar Zaman had been battling a chest-related illness, specifically hyperthyroidism, which affected his health.
Due to this condition, Fakhar Zaman faced difficulty in breathing and had a faster heart rate.

Doctors advised him to avoid running as a precautionary measure.
However, thanks to early diagnosis, Fakhar’s condition improved significantly over time.

Fakhar Zaman has been undergoing treatment for the past one and a half months, resulting in a noticeable weight loss.
Despite the setback, sources confirmed that he is on the road to recovery and will showcase his skills in the upcoming Champions T20 tournament.

Currently in Islamabad, Fakhar Zaman will represent the Marhkor team in the Champions T20, marking his return to competitive cricket after overcoming his health challenges.
Fakhar Zaman is a Pakistani international cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team. He scored his first ODI century against India in 2017 Champions Trophy Final.
He also plays for Lahore Qalandars as an opening batter in the Pakistan Super League.
