Internet disruption will be resolved in three months, says PSHA.

Pakistan Software House Association (PSHA) has maintained that the internet speed issues across the country will be fixed within three months as the government is working to resolve these problems.

PASHA Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed told the public that connectivity issues continue due to the firewall, referring to the internet monitoring that has affected services across the country.

Internet disruption in Pakistan

Both Wi-Fi and mobile data services are reportedly suffering from severe sluggishness, causing significant disruptions for users.

The government has accepted that its web management system is undergoing an upgrade, with multiple tests having been carried out, including a trial in July and another in August.

These tests aim to improve overall connectivity and internet speed.

The government is focusing on optimizing internet infrastructure and removing roadblocks caused by the firewall.

The slow internet speeds have made it difficult for users to send and receive multimedia messages, such as images, videos, and voice notes, on popular applications like WhatsApp.

Both Wi-Fi and mobile data services have been impacted, leaving individuals and businesses grappling with daily challenges.

Internet disruption costing billions per day

According to IT experts, the ongoing internet disruption is costing Pakistan’s economy billions of rupees every day.
