Accountability court postpones hearing against Saad Rafique, brother

An accountability court on Monday postponed the hearing of a NAB reference against Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique until March 30.

The Khawaja Brothers entered the courtroom and signed their attendance sheet.

Dr. Fareeha was one of two NAB witnesses who testified in court.

No. 2 Accountability Court The case was handled by Judge Naseem Ahmed Virk.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a complaint against the Khawaja Brothers for alleged wrongdoing in the Paragon Housing Society project.

Both brothers, along with Nadeem Zia, were accused of selling 800-Marla land in the Paragon Housing Society for Rs4 billion.

The housing society was first developed by the Khawaja Brothers as Air Avenue, and its name was then changed to Paragon Housing Society, according to the NAB reference.

“The Khawaja Brothers earn money from the Paragon Housing Society’s land sales on a regular basis,” the reference said.

Qaiser Amin Butt, a former MP, confessed that the Khawaja brothers earned millions of rupees in commissions and other incentives.

“Khawaja Saad Rafique used to come to every meeting and issue allotment letters to the people,” said the NAB reference.
