PCB reduces number of selection committee members from seven to five.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reduced the number of selection committee members from seven to five, reported The Asian Mirror on Thursday.

The right of the captain and head coach to vote at the time of selection has been abolished.

Members of selection committee Aleem Dar, Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq and Hasan Cheema will take all the decisions.

The selectors also got the power to choose the playing eleven with fifteen members.

However, the selectors must consult the head coach and captain while selecting the players.

Only the opinion of the head coach and captain will be taken while the final decision will be taken by the selectors.

The role of ex-officio non-voting members from the selection committee was also abolished.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) formerly known as Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan, is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team.
