Contrary to initial reports, the autopsy confirmed that Sania was not pregnant at the time of her death.

Samples from her stomach, liver, and spleen have been sent to the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) for further analysis.

Details of the Incident:

The investigation revealed that Sania was brutally raped, choked to death, her tongue was cut off, her teeth shattered, and her feet crushed.

It appears her husband attempted to disguise the murder as a suicide by hanging her body after the assault.

The suspected motive behind this heinous act is believed to be a property dispute.

Sania, who owned their home, was under relentless pressure from her husband to sell the property and transfer the money or ownership to him.

The ongoing disputes over this matter tragically escalated to her murder.

Social Media Response:

The accused Syed Ali Raza remains at large which has incited widespread outrage.

Social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter), has been flooded with the hashtag #JusticeForSaniaZehra.

The public is demanding swift justice and condemning the delays in the justice system.

Online discussions are questioning societal norms that prioritize maintaining a girl’s marriage over her safety and well-being.

There is a strong call for systemic change and domestic violence needs to be consistently addressed and condemned.

Domestic violence is a pervasive issue in Pakistan, with approximately 5,000 women killed annually and many more injured or disabled.

Lisa Hajjar, an associate professor at the University of California, describes violence against women in Pakistan as endemic.
