Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly (PA) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz said on Monday that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government had not fulfilled a single promise it had made to the people during its last four years in office.
He told the journalists outside the FIA Special Court Central in Lahore that anytime PTI politicians and government ministers were questioned regarding the Tosha Khana case, they preferred not to respond. He claimed that “Imran Khan Niazi lies to the country both within and outside the parliament.”
He further stated that the PTI was funded by Indians, claiming that the money deposited in the party’s bank accounts came from them.
Hamza and Shehbaz’s temporary bails have been extended till March 10 by the court:
Earlier, a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Special Central Court judge said he would take up for hearing on March 10 the FIA’s plea for daily hearing of the reference as well as Sharif’s petition, in which they had challenged the court’s jurisdiction, while extending interim bails granted to Hamza and his father, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case until March 10.
The father and son, as well as other suspects in the case, were all designated by the court.
Both Hamza and his father, Shehbaz Sharif, allegedly used delaying tactics to prolong the investigation, according to the FIA’s lawyer.
On the other hand, Azam Nazir Tarar, a lawyer for the Sharifs and other accused, asked the court to extend his clients’ bails because the investigation was complete and a challan had been filed in the case.
