Wahab Riaz is likely to be removed from PCB selection committee.
In the aftermath of Pakistan’s early exit from the T20 World Cup, there are strong indications that Wahab Riaz may be removed from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee.
As reported by ESPNcricinfo, PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi is keen to demonstrate that accountability applies to all, signaling that no one is exempt from the repercussions of the team’s poor performance.
Additionally, both the PCB and Riaz are reportedly frustrated with the public’s perception that Riaz is the de facto leader of the committee, and therefore, the primary target of criticism.

Meanwhile, Pakistan head coach Gary Kirsten has voiced serious concerns regarding the team’s fitness, skill level, and lack of unity.
In a candid conversation with the players following their World Cup elimination, Kirsten emphasized that the current fitness levels are subpar and that the team’s skills do not measure up to international standards.
He also criticized the players for their poor shot selection, despite their extensive experience.
No accountability of Mohsin Naqvi!
No accountability of Wahab Riaz!
No accountability of Gary Kirsten!
No accountability of Selection Committee!PCB, ex-cricketers, media, youtubers are on same page to target Babar Azam & Rizwan only which is called paid campaign!💥#T20WorldCup

Kirsten further noted a troubling lack of team cohesion, something he has not witnessed in his tenure with other teams.
He made it clear that only those players who demonstrate improvement in these areas will continue to be part of the squad.
As Wahab Riaz is likely to be removed from PCB selection committee, Pakistan’s World Cup journey was cut short after a surprising defeat to the US and a loss to India, which saw them exit before reaching the Super 8 stage.
Although they secured a three-wicket victory against Ireland in their final match at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, they finished third in Group A with two wins from four matches, including a win against Canada.
