Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have been accused in Gold Scheme fraud.
Actress and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty, along with her businessman husband Raj Kundra, are facing allegations of fraud over a gold investment scheme launched by their company, Satyug Gold Private Limited, back in 2014.
The complaint, filed by bullion trader Prithviraj Saremal Kothari, alleges that the couple and their associates promised fixed-rate gold delivery regardless of market fluctuations through their Satyug Gold scheme.
Investors were encouraged to make discounted full payments upfront, with the promise of receiving a specified amount of gold upon maturity.

Kothari claims he invested a significant sum but did not receive the promised 5000 grams of 24-carat gold upon the maturity date in April 2019, despite paying INR 90,38,600 and providing documents including a cover letter signed by Shilpa Shetty and an invoice from Satyug Gold Private Limited.
Following the complaint, the Mumbai Sessions Court has ordered an investigation into the matter.

As Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have been accused in Gold Scheme fraud, they have not yet publicly responded to the accusations.
