Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has finally addressed the recent incident involving actor-turned-BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, who was slapped by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur shortly after her election.

Speaking nearly a week after the incident, Johar, who has had a long-standing public feud with Ranaut—having been called ‘the flag-bearer of nepotism’ by her—voiced his support despite their differences.

During a promotional event for his upcoming film on Wednesday, Karan Johar reacted to Kangana Ranaut airport slapgate.

He remarked, “See, I don’t support or condone any form of violence, verbal or physical,” ending his statement with a subtle smile.

The altercation took place last Thursday when Ranaut, a newly elected MP, was slapped by constable Kaur.

Kaur cited Ranaut’s controversial comments about Punjabi women participating in protests against the now-repealed farm laws as the reason, noting that her own mother was among the protesters.

In the aftermath, Ranaut, the BJP MP from Mandi, took to Instagram to criticize the silence of her Bollywood peers regarding the incident.
