The altercation took place last Thursday when Ranaut, a newly elected MP, was slapped by constable Kaur.
Kaur cited Ranaut’s controversial comments about Punjabi women participating in protests against the now-repealed farm laws as the reason, noting that her own mother was among the protesters.
