In a distressing turn of events, a State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) jawan, responsible for the security detail of renowned Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, has tragically taken his own life.
Identified as Prakash Kapde, the 39-year-old officer reportedly shot himself in the neck with his service firearm at his residence in Jamner town.

Incident Details:
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, around 1:30 am, at Kapde’s home in Jamner.
Senior Police Inspector Kiran Shinde of the Jamner Police Station confirmed the event and stated that investigations are underway to determine the precise motivations behind Kapde’s apparent suicide.
“As per preliminary investigations, he may have taken the extreme step owing to certain personal reasons, but we are waiting for the full details of the probe,” he said

While initial inquiries suggest that personal issues might have driven Kapde to such extreme action, authorities are refraining from conclusive statements until a thorough investigation is conducted.
Kapde’s body has been subjected to an autopsy, and an accidental death report has been filed by the Jamner Police.
