Moreover, officers are now obligated to carry their firearms at all times while on duty, a measure instituted in response to the prevailing security concerns within the city.

The decision highlights the police department’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of both its personnel and the general public.

Concurrently, the Islamabad Police has introduced a pioneering mobile application named ICT-15, aimed at bolstering public safety initiatives and aiding in the prevention of criminal activities.

Launched under the guidance of former Minister of Interior, Sarfraz Akbar Bugti, the app empowers residents of the capital city to actively contribute to crime prevention efforts and the overall well-being of their communities.

The user-friendly ICT-15 application is now readily available for download on the Google Play Store, streamlining access for Islamabad’s populace.

This groundbreaking application serves as a vital platform for citizens to report a diverse range of concerns, including but not limited to, illicit activities, incidents, grievances against law enforcement, the presence of unauthorized individuals, or any suspicious behavior indicative of criminal activity.

With the submission of information through the app, the Islamabad Police will ensure swift response.
