A recent poll conducted by CNN/SSRS and reported by Newsweek indicates a notable shift in public perception regarding the presidencies of Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Contrary to previous sentiments, a majority of Americans now view Trump’s time in office as successful while regarding Biden’s presidency as a failure.

According to the poll results, 55% of the surveyed individuals consider Donald Trump’s tenure in the Oval Office to have been successful.

In stark contrast, the majority of respondents—61%—regard Joe Biden’s presidency as a failure.

Trump Leads Biden in Favorability by Six Points:

Further highlighting the shift in public sentiment, the poll reveals that Trump currently holds a six-point lead over Biden in terms of favorability.

Specifically, 49% of those surveyed express support for Trump, compared to 43% for Biden.

Stark Demographic Divide in Support:

The poll also unveils a striking demographic divide in support for the two presidents.

Notably, Biden‘s support is notably weaker among voters under 35, with only 40% backing the incumbent president.

Conversely, Trump garners more substantial support from this demographic, with 51% expressing favorability towards the former president.

Methodology and Margin of Error:

The survey, conducted from April 18 to 23, involved a random sample of 1,212 adults drawn from a probability-based panel.

With a margin of error estimated at plus or minus 3.4 points, the poll provides valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of American politics and public opinion.
