In a chilling development that rocked the streets of Karachi’s Defence neighborhood, the case surrounding the murder of Ali Keerio, son of a district and session judge, has reached a critical juncture.
Recent investigations have pointed to Daniyal Mir Behr, son of a retired police officer, as the primary suspect in this harrowing incident.
Approximately two and a half months ago at Bangla No. 4/18 in Defence Phase V, a sequence of events unfolded that forever altered the lives of those involved.

Ali Keerio, a young man with a promising future, tragically lost his life due to a fatal gunshot allegedly fired by Daniyal Mir Behr.
The ordeal began innocuously enough with Daniyal inviting his friend Shazia over to his home. However, what was intended to be a routine gathering soon descended into chaos and despair.
As per media reports, Daniyal had ordered food – two burgers and cold drinks – for himself and Shazia.
Unfortunately, a mix-up occurred when the servant brought the order, and Ali Keerio inadvertently took the food to another room where he consumed part of a burger.
Upon discovering this, Daniyal’s reaction was swift and extreme.
He retrieved a rifle from the guard room despite attempts by his brother Ahmer to defuse the situation.
What ensued was a heated confrontation that culminated in Daniyal firing at Ali Keerio, inflicting fatal injuries to his chest.
In a frantic attempt to save Ali Keerio, Daniyal and his brother Ahmer rushed him to the hospital using their cousin’s car. Despite these efforts, Ali Keerio tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Following a meticulous investigation, Daniyal Mir Behr was arrested and is currently incarcerated pending trial.
