‘Harpic toilet cleaner was mixed in my food,’ says Bushra Bibi.

Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has come forward with startling revelations of surviving poisoning attempts while under detention at the Bani Gala residence.

These allegations have raised concerns over her safety and security.

Allegations of Poisoning

In a media statement following her attendance at a hearing concerning a 190 million pound case, Bushra Bibi disclosed that drops of Harpic, a common toilet cleaner in Pakistan, were mixed into her food during the observance of Shab-e-Miraj, an Islamic occasion.

This incident, she claimed, occurred approximately six weeks prior.

Health Implications

Research suggests that the consumption of Harpic can lead to deteriorating health conditions, manifesting around a month after ingestion.

Bushra Bibi reported experiencing symptoms such as eye swelling, chest and stomach discomfort, and a pervasive bitter taste in her food and water.

Furthermore, she revealed suspicions of tampering with the honey she consumed.

“I am experiencing swelling in the eyes, discomfort in the chest and stomach, as well as a bitter taste in food and water,” she said.

Living Conditions in Detention

Despite her detention status, Bushra Bibi asserted that she has been treated with respect at the Bani Gala residence.

Initially restricted from opening windows, she mentioned being granted limited permission to do so in recent days.

Imran Khan’s Assertion

During court proceedings related to the case, Imran Khan himself spoke out about the poisoning attempts on his wife.
