Sindh announces elections holidays for schools. The public and private educational institutions across the province of Sindh are set to close their doors from February 5 to 9.

This decision comes as part of the commemoration of Kashmir Day and in preparation for the upcoming general elections scheduled for February 8.

Kashmir Day, observed on February 5, will be marked as a public holiday, and as per the directive from the provincial education department, an extended closure will follow, encompassing schools, colleges, and universities from February 5 to 9.

The formalities of this decision have been set in motion, with the education department having submitted the necessary details to the chief minister for approval.

A formal notification is expected to be issued promptly once the chief minister endorses the decision.

This move mirrors the decision made by the Punjab government, which has also declared the closure of educational institutions in the province.

Punjab’s institutions are slated to remain closed from February 6 to 9, aligning with the general elections.

As Sindh announces elections holidays for schools, the synchronized closure of educational institutions in both Sindh and Punjab underscores the collective effort to facilitate the electoral process and recognize the significance of Kashmir Day.
