Details emerged from Mian Channu Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Saleem, who informed The Asian Mirror that Asim was rushed to Talamba Rural Health Centre, where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
A statement from the Punjab police spokesperson highlighted that the apparent cause of Asim’s passing was a “gunshot.” Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sohail Chaudhry revealed that Asim had reportedly “shot himself in the chest” within a gymnasium at his residence, with the family indicating it as a case of suicide.
Chaudhry confirmed the acquisition of CCTV footage depicting Asim inflicting the fatal wound upon himself.
