Babar Azam cried after loss to Afghanistan. After Pakistan’s ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan on Monday, former captain Mohammad Yousuf claimed to have heard that current captain Babar Azam had sobbed.

Yousuf expressed concern for Babar, the nation’s number-one batsman, and stated that they are supporting him through this trying time. Babar currently leads the ICC Batting Rankings.

Pakistan and Afghanistan played a match on October 23. The Afghan team played a fantastic game and defeated the national team by eight wickets.

Babar voiced his concerns during the post-match press conference, looking pitiful and disappointed.

“I watched the press conference very carefully, in which Babar looked very worried, I heard that he was crying,” Yousuf said while speaking on a private TV channel.

“The outcome of a match should not be attributed to one individual but should be seen as a collective effort involving the entire team and coaching staff,” he added.

Pakistan should back Babar and the team because they are still in the running for the championship, according to the former batter.

“Losing is a natural part of the game, and we should all support Babar during this difficult time. We all feel the pain, and it’s something every player goes through.”

Yousuf also identified a few topics deserving of serious discussion, such as Pakistan’s poor bowling performance and low run total versus Afghanistan. He said the team seemed to be afraid of losing or running out of wickets.
