Court cancels Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrants in Toshakhana case. Following Nawaz Sharif’s surrender before it on Tuesday, an accountability court in the nation’s capital revoked the perpetual arrest warrants that had been issued against him in the Toshakhana case.
Accountability While hearing the case at the courthouse, where strict security measures had been put in place for the high-profile appearance, Judge Mohammad Bashir suspended the warrants.
During his court appearance, the former premier was accompanied by his legal counsel and daughter Maryam Nawaz.
The PML-N leader’s attorney, Qazi Misbah, filed two petitions in accountability court asking for permission to submit surety bonds for bail and the appointment of a pleader, as well as one object to the seizure of his client’s property.

As Court cancels Nawaz Sharif’s arrest warrants in Toshakhana case, on November 20, the court summoned arguments on additional petitions and permitted the submission of surety bonds totaling Rs. 1 million.
The NAB prosecutor did not raise any objections during the hearing, stating that the warrants needed to be canceled in order to continue the case’s trial.
On October 21, Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan after a four-year exile in London. His protective bail was approved by the Islamabad High Court until October 24.
