German footballer Mesut Ozil stands with Palestine against Israel. Former Real Madrid and Arsenal player Mesut Ozil posted on social media in support of Palestine during the recent unrest in the region.
Ozil, a retired German football player, joined an increasing number of well-known sports personalities in expressing support for Palestinians in the wake of Saturday’s attacks by Hamas in Israel.
Ozil used the hashtag #FreePalestine in a post on X (previously Twitter) on Friday morning to demand an end to the conflict and to support Palestine.
He included a picture of the Palestinian flag with the statement and added, “Praying for humanity. praying for peace.”

Ozil emphasized the tragic loss of innocent lives on both sides of the conflict, especially among children, calling it sad and heartbreaking.
He concluded his message with a plea: “PLEASE STOP THE WAR!!!”
