“Hands on trigger”: Iran warns Israel against ground invasion of Gaza

How Hamas outfoxed mighty Iron Dome?

Iran warns Israel against ground invasion of Gaza. Iran has issued a stern warning, calling for an immediate end to aggressions against Palestinians.

The Iranian foreign minister also singled out the United States for its unwavering support of Israel since the devastating Hamas attack that left over 1,400 Israelis dead.

As Israel prepares for a potential ground invasion of Gaza, Iran has issued a stark warning.

“If the Zionist aggressions do not stop, the hands of all parties in the region are on the trigger,” Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said, as quoted by news agency Reuters.

Israel cut off all water, electricity, and food to the densely populated coastal enclave, but yesterday restored water to the southern region, where it had been cut off due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment of Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of over 2,670 people, including over 700 children.

“No one can guarantee the control of the situation and the non-expansion of the conflicts,” Amirabdollahian said, according to an Iranian foreign ministry statement. “Those who are interested in preventing the scope of war and crisis from expanding, need to prevent the current barbaric attacks… against citizens and civilians in Gaza.”

As Iran warns Israel against ground invasion of Gaza, Jake Sullivan, the national security adviser for the US, expressed concern in Washington about the possibility of an escalation of the conflict in Israel and the involvement of Iran, a longtime foe of Israel and a supporter of Hamas.

Israel has dispatched troops and tanks to the UN-patrolled border with Lebanon in the north. After a deadly fire from the Hezbollah organisation, which is supported by Iran, across the border, it has also closed a four kilometre (2.5 mile) wide area to civilians.
