The second-largest city in the country, Lahore, awoke to a light drizzle as the showers persisted since early in the day.
According to a weather forecast released by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Punjab, including the provincial capital Lahore, will experience rain and hailstorms over the course of the next 24 hours.

While, isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Pothohar region, Murree, Galiyat, M. B Din, Gujrat and Hafizabad, Met Office said.
Temperature Today
The temperature in Lahore dropped to about 20°C while it was raining. More than 80% humidity was measured in the city. There were 14 km/h winds. With a visibility of about 3 km, the maximum UV Index, which is low, was recorded at 2.
Air Quality
The provincial capital’s air quality was measured at 82, which is extremely poor, despite the rain.
Because of the high level of pollution, the air is unhealthy for vulnerable populations. If you experience symptoms like throat irritation or breathing difficulties, limit your time spent outside.
Lahore weather update today
From Sunday to Tuesday, moderate to heavy rainfall may increase water flows in nearby Nullahs and streams and cause landslides in the prone regions of Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
The upper and central regions of the nation are being affected by a westerly wave.
Most upper regions of the country will have partly cloudy weather. But in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, windstorm/rain-thunderstorm is predicted, as well as snow over high mountains and sporadic hailstorm in plain areas during the evening and night.
