Driver Sardar Khan, a dutiful Custom official lost his life today because of recklessness and criminal negligence of the driver, a 14-wheeler Coca-Cola truck ran over him while he was discharging his duties at Customs Tunnel Check post, Kohat.

He served Pakistan Customs for well over 3 decades and has been a part of many anti-smuggling operations.
He was a great human being and a gentle soul, according to the people who worked with him.
He had requested leave to go back to his home in Khaniwal and was scheduled to leave for his hometown that very day. But unfortunately, this was not to be.
