Babar Azam is the top batsman in the world, says Virat Kohli.
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli captured millions of hearts with his on-field performance, but the star batter also impressed fans with his off-field exchanges and interviews, in which he thanked his colleagues and even opponents, displaying a humanitarian side to his nature.
A previous video of the 34-year-old surfaced in which he praised Babar Azam, calling him the best batsman in the world.
In a recent interview, Kohli, widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in history, discussed his connection with Pakistan’s captain, stating that they had always been on excellent terms since their first meeting.
Kohli recalled his first meeting with Pakistan’s all-format captain during the 2019 ODI World Cup in Manchester, adding the latter wanted to speak with him. We sat down and discussed the game.
‘Regardless of the fact that he’s probably the top batsman in the world across formats, and justifiably so,’ said the former skipper, who observed a lot of respect from Babar from day one. ‘He regularly delivers, and I’ve always enjoyed watching him play.’
