Civil Judge and wife booked for alleged torture on the domestic worker. Police in the country’s federal district have charged Civil Judge Asim Hafeez and his wife with torturing minor domestic worker Rizwana, who suffered serious injuries.
The civil judge of the Punjab Judicial Service, who is now working at the Federal Judicial Academy, denied the allegations, but the incident sparked outrage because a 14-year-old domestic worker, Rizwana, was found severely injured.
As a Civil judge and wife booked for alleged torture on the domestic worker, on the complaint of the victim’s father, the case was registered at Islamabad’s Hamak police station.
Previously, Sargodha police approached federal officers and handed over all documents, including the complaint and medico-legal certificate.
The victim’s father stated in the FIR that his 14-year-old daughter Rizwana used to work at the residence of Civil Judge Asim Hafeez.

The victim was transferred to Lahore on Monday after her condition worsened, and her family demanded justice from the provincial administration.
During the investigation, cops stated that efforts are being made to apprehend the suspects and that the case will be investigated on merit.
Pakistan’s judiciary is a hierarchical system with two types of courts: superior (or higher) judiciary and subordinate (or lower) judiciary.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Federal Shariat Court, and five High Courts comprise the superior judiciary, with the Supreme Court serving as the apex.
Each of the four provinces has its own High Court, as does the Islamabad Capital Territory.
