Security forces kill two terrorists in Datta khel area

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday that security forces killed two terrorists in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.

After reports of terrorist presence, the military’s media wing announced that an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the region.

The two terrorists were slain in a fierce firefight. Asmatullah, also known as Hafiz, was identified by the military. The search for the other terrorist is underway.

The terrorists were wanted for attacks on security forces, as well as targeted killings and ransom kidnappings.

A “vast cache of weapons and ammunition” was confiscated, according to the ISPR, including submachine guns, hand grenades, and a considerable quantity of multiple calibre rounds.

A huge amount of guns, ammo, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were found from the location earlier this week in another IBO.

“Submachine guns, hand grenades, RPG-7 rockets, IEDs, material used in the construction of IEDs, communication devices, and hundreds of multiple calibre rounds” were among the weapons and ammo recovered, according to ISPR.
