73-year-old Defence Minister Khawaja Asif‘s diving video in canal went viral on social media. Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, made waves on social media as a video of him diving into a canal in his hometown went viral.
As Pakistanis continue to sizzle under the scorching sun youngsters mostly visited canals in hot and humid weather but the 73-year-old defence minister stunned everyone by diving into the canal.
In a departure from the scorching heat, the 73-year-old minister donned casual attire and impressed onlookers by jumping into the water with the help of bystanders.
The video garnered attention online, with some praising the minister for engaging with the public while others expressed concerns about his safety.
The video soon went viral on social media and the seasoned politician appeared in trending sections of search engines and social sites.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif is a Pakistani politician currently serving as the Defence Minister of Pakistan since April 2022, He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, since August 2018.

Previously, he was a member of the National Assembly from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2002 to 2018 and till date. In May 2019 he took charge and became the Parliamentary Leader of PML-N in the National Assembly of Pakistan.
He served as the Minister for Foreign Affairs in the Abbasi cabinet from August 2017 to April 2018 and simultaneously served as the Minister for Defence and Minister for Water and Power in the third Sharif ministry from 2013 to 2017.
