Sajid Sadpara summits Nanga Parbat without oxygen. Without using oxygen, Pakistani mountaineer Sajid Sadpara has successfully ascended Nanga Parbat, the ninth-highest mountain on Earth.

Along with Russian, Nepalese, and Turkish mountaineers, he ascended the 8126-meter peak as a member of the lead rope-fixing team. It was his first summit of the Pakistani climbing season.

As Sajid Sadpara summits Nanga Parbat without oxygen, he announced the feat on Twitter.

A team of 20 international climbers, including the Norwegian who holds the world record for the highest mountain ascent, Kristin Harila, Sherpa Tenjen (also known as Lama), and Mingtemba, successfully reached the summit while fixing the summit rope, according to a tweet from Seven Summit Treks, a Nepal-based official mountaineering organization.

“This climb marked Kristin’s and Tenjen’s 10th ascent of an 8,000-meter peak out of the 14, as part of the Fastest 14 Peaks project. Additionally, Sophie Lavaud ???????? and Tunc Findik ???????? completed their 14 Peak (all 8000ers) journey by conquering the final remaining peak, Nanga Parbat,” read the tweet.

Sajid Sadpara has successfully summited six peaks without oxygen. He first attempted the treacherous K2 when he was nineteen years old.

He created history in April by climbing Mount Annapurna, the tenth-highest peak in the world, without using any additional oxygen.

Sajid Sadpara is the son of high-altitude climber Ali Sadpara.

In July 2021, Sadpara reached the peak of K2 — the world’s 2nd highest mountain — for the second time.

In November 2021, Sadpara had to be rescued from Mount Everest after he fell sick during an expedition to explore a new route.

In September 2022, Sadpara climbed the world’s eighth highest peak — the 8,163-metre Mount Manaslu — in Nepal without the aid of supplemental oxygen.

In April 2023, Sadpara became the first Pakistani to climb the 8,091-metre tall Annapurna mountain in Nepal — the world’s 10th highest peak — without the support of supplemental oxygen as a part of Seven Summit Treks’ Annapurna Expedition 2023.

In May 2023, Sadpara became the first Pakistani to climb Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen and assistance from Sherpas.
