Sindh MPA’s son and his workers savagely abused and beat women in a lift in a residential building in a disturbing event in the port city.
The event was captured on camera in the lift of Do Darya’s residential complex in Karachi on May 5, according to police. Later, a video of the incident was released.
When the son of MPA Aslam Abro entered the lift with his staff and friends, two women and a toddler can be seen in the lift.
Due to the weight limit, women urged the MPA’s son not to enter the lift with his friends, resulting in a heated argument. The debate eventually became physical. When building security guards saw the altercation in the lift, they went there and handled the dispute between the two parties.
Later that day, on May 18, police opened an investigation and arrested a guy named Adnan Rana, who is alleged to be a family relation of the women.
The case was opened after MPA Aslam Abro’s cook, who can be seen striking the women in the CCTV clip, filed a complaint. The police have stated that they are looking into the matter.

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Sindh as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf from PS-1 (Jacobabad-I) in the 2018 Sindh provincial election.
