List of roads blocked by PTI protesters in Lahore after Imran Khan’s arrest

Workers and supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are protesting in Lahore and other cities across the nation after former prime minister Imran Khan was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for allegedly engaging in corrupt practices while in office. Following is the list of roads blocked by PTI protesters in Lahore:

The PTI Chairman was taken into custody while on the premises of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), where he was there for biometric verification in two cases.

Khan has been detained in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case, according to NAB, which has confirmed the development. According to the report, the NAB chief issued the arrest warrants for him on May 1.

Following his arrest, the PTI is asking the party supporters to take to the streets against what it calls an illegitimate arrest.

Reacting to the call, a number of PTI protesters have blocked major roads in the Punjab capital, which has turned into a traffic quagmire.

According to City Traffic Police Lahore, Canal Road, Liberty Chowk, GPO Chowk, Akbar Chowk, Mall Road bridge, Mughapura, Dharampur, Sundardas Road, and others are closed due to protests.
