This is a sense of professional capability where police employees elevate to a position with a higher salary coupled with responsibilities.
I am very happy to observe that our present IGP (Punjab) is expeditiously executing slot of promotion in respect of promotee cum ranker Officers. This great work not only enhances the capability of officers to work more diligently but also a sense of despairty that prevailed earlier in the past rapidly been removed among police personnel.
The rules of promotion of police employees as enshrined weren’t met. I’m the past for which as many as thousands of officers were deprived of their due right of promotion.

The major setback on the way to promotion which superseded many officers was the blue-eyed officers whom the authority granted promotion on the basis of gallant performance, pushing back to those officers who rightly deserve their promotions. Secondly, the merging of PC units, etc caused major irregularities in the chapter on promotion.
I can understand the matter taken up by the apex Court and all those promoted rapidly were later demoted to their actual ranks. Although the career zone of officers was streamlined by the Hon’ble Courts ever think of anyone who was responsible for this future-torn perspective for which deserving officers were sidelined and couldn’t obtain the right of their promotions.
Nevertheless, career building and legitimate rizq has bestowed by Almighty Allah but the day will come when Allah will ask those responsible for snatching due right of promotions. I wish IG sb continues the pace of promotion of officers from the rank of Constable to Sp in the larger due right and interest.
