Robbery incident at Telenor Franchise in D I Khan: IG KP suspends SHO

5 armed robbers robbed more than Rs. 300,000 and 15 mobile phones from the Telenor Franchise on Circular Road, opposite Haq Nawaz Park, Dera Ismail Khan City within the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station.

Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (IGP KP) Akhtar while taking immediate notice of the incident suspended the Station House Officer (SHO) Cantt Police Station, a police spokesman told DAWN here on Saturday.

District Police Spokesman Syed Yaqoob Bukhari told The Asian Mirror that there was a daylight robbery in the Telenor franchise located on Circular Road, opposite Shaheed Haq Nawaz Park, Dera Ismail Khan City within the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station.

About 5 unknown armed and masked robbers came in a car and entered the Telenor SIM Franchise.

The armed men looted about PKR 334,000, more than 15 mobile phones, and DVR.

According to the franchise employees, two robbers were in police uniforms while three were in white clothes and they were wearing masks and fled from the scene after the robbery incident.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan taking strict notice of the robbery issued orders to District Police Officer (DPO) Abdur Rauif Qaiserani to suspend Station House Officer (SHO) Cantt Police Station, Aftab Alam.
