After Pathaan’s incredible performance, there were high hopes for another hit as Akshay Kumar star-studded film ‘Selfiee’ was set to be released. However, the film set a new industry benchmark by being one of the worst performers on the first day.
According to analyst Taran Adarsh, Selfiee shocked the industry by making a shockingly low start on Day 1. Only 2.5 crores were collected on the first day of the film’s release.
The film’s extremely low earnings came as a surprise given that it starred actors such as Diana Penty, Emran Hashmi, Nushratt Bharuccha, and Akshay Kumar.

Notably, Akshay Kumar is repeatedly failing to cast his spell on the screen as this was his 9th failed movie on the cinema screen.
