Naeem Abbas Rufi of Coke Studio revealed the names of Pakistan’s most expensive singers, saying, “There are only two big names – Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam who charge huge amounts of money for their concerts.”
The Band vocalist appeared on Nadir Ali’s podcast and revealed that the two singers were hired for an event in the United States for $70,000 (Rs1960,000), as well as an event in Pakistan for Rs10 million.
He claimed that the two singers avoided performing at birthday parties and weddings, adding, “If they say yes for these events, they ask for extra money, particularly Atif Aslam.”
To a question, he said that Indian singer Arijit Singh was pricier than Atif Aslam, whereas, Sonu Nigam was less expensive and hired at $20,000.
He said that he loved Sonu Nigam’s singing, adding that his low-price hiring for events shocked him.

Naeem also disclosed that Shreya Ghoshal was currently the most expensive singer in India.
“It is the saddest reality of our country that we do not promote and respect the real talent and bring talentless people into the limelight,” he lamented.
“People do not respect the big names and mock them in a graceless manner,” he added.
