MNA Ali Wazir arrives Dera Ismail Khan after 26 months in prison; reunites with family

Member of National Assembly Ali Wazir was warmly welcomed by activists of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement when he reached Dera Ismail Khan after being released from Central Jail Karachi after 26 months, here late Friday night.

After being released from prison in Karachi, the lawmaker from South Waziristan and leader of PTM stopped in Dera Ismail Khan and addressed the workers of PTM.

Thousands of workers of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement and the family of Ali Wazir warmly welcome Mr. Wazir to Sheikh Yusuf Adda on his arrival to Dera Ismail Khan. After this, a rally was held from Sheikh Yusuf Adda to GPO Chowk in which thousands of people participated.

The daughters of Ali Wazir were also present on this occasion.

A daughter of Ali Wazir said that our father has proved that he is not afraid of anyone and has shown stability in prison and now we are very happy today that he is coming home after a long time.

Zarghuna Ali, daughter of Ali Wazir asked him while crying will you come home today?, on which Ali kissed her daughter Zarghuna and said yes I will come.

Addressing the public gathering, Ali Wazir said that now the Pakhtun nation has woken up and is not afraid of anyone raising their voice for their rights.

He said that the way Pakhtuns are expressing their feelings is a big change but unfortunately our military institutions and establishment are not understanding it because they have always run this state as a business enterprise.

The occasion, the leaders of Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), Gul Alam Wazir, Alam Zaib Mehsud, Mustafa Chamto, and Shoukat Wazir were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, on Saturday morning, MNA Ali Wazir reached South Waziristan, his home constituency, and was warmly welcomed by activists of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement, Awami National party, and Pakistan Peoples Party.

Ali Wazir also addressed the participants in Wana Town Hall where he said that the killers of Naqebullah Mehsud will not be spared at any cost.

He said that the Pakhtun nation always suffers from terrorism but now our nation has woken up.
