Anurag Kashyap tells why Nana Patekar refused Hollywood film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Nana Patekar is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood.

He has been part of many acclaimed Hindi and Marathi films and has won numerous awards for his work but once Nana Patekar refused Hollywood film.

He is well-known for his versatility and dedication as an actor, having appeared in films such as Welcome, Krantiveer, and Agni Varsha.

Many people look up to the actor, and his work is highly regarded.

He was once offered a role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, but Nana Patekar refused  Hollywood film.

Director Ridley Scott approached Nana about playing Mark Strong’s character in Body of Lies, but he declined.

The Pool had won a prize at the Sundance Film Festival and would have been yet another major accomplishment in Nana Patekar’s long career in the film industry.

Unfortunately, due to his personal convictions, he declined the role.

Anurag Khashyap, during an interview with Lallantop, revealed that the real reason behind Nana’s refusal.

He refused the role as it required him to play a terrorist and he was not comfortable with it.

Despite the offer, he chose to not take up the role.

On the work front, Patekar was last seen in Zee5 film Tadka which featured Alia Fazal, Shriya Saran, and Taapsee Pannu in vital roles.

In the same interview, Anurag also shared his experience of working with Abhishek Bachchan and said that Junior Bachchan was very brattish during his initial stage.

It started when he recalled an incident while he was shooting for the television show Yudh with Amitabh Bachchan.

“He’s a very hard-working person. He’s cultured, and loves food. But he was very brattish in the beginning. He’d make fun of everything, not take things seriously. But people grow, and he grew. That Abhishek and the Abhishek I worked with on Manmarziyaan are two entirely different people,” the filmmaker told The Lallantop.
