1 killed as sectarian violence started in D I Khan

One person was killed in a sectarian target killing incident at Naivela Adda within the vicinity of Prova Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan District, a police spokesman confirmed here on Wednesday.

A Police Official said a man named Amir Abbas Baloch was killed by unknown militants at Naivela Adda within the vicinity of Prova Police Station.

The accused managed to escape from the spot after committing the crime. As soon as the information of the incident was reported, the Prova police reached the spot and started investigating the incident.

According to police sources, the incident was a result of sectarian violence, in the same week a man named Saqlain Abbas was also killed during the sectarian target killing.

Meanwhile, the heirs of the deceased including women and children staged a demonstration and kept the dead body on the Indus Highway N-55 Road.

The heirs of slain Amir Abbas Baloch said that they are tired of carrying the dead bodies of young men every day.

“Now our patience is exhausted,” they said.

The stand of the protestors is that we will sit on the road until the top military leadership comes and listens to our demands and our demands are not accepted.

However, a police spokesman confirmed that the protestors were not dispersed yet.
