On Tuesday, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd. (PSMCL) increased the cost of a variety of vehicles by Rs. 115,000 to Rs. 355,000. Suzuki raises prices by up to Rs 355000.
Prior to this, the prices had already been increased by Rs300,000-Rs550,000 and Rs280,000-Rs1.2m by Honda Atlas Cars Ltd (HACL) and Indus Motor Company (IMC), respectively.
The new prices for the Alto VX, VXR, VXR AGS, and AGS have increased by between $160,000 and $200,000 to Rs1.859 million, Rs2.156 million, Rs2.310 million, and Rs2.423 million, respectively.
The new price for the WagonR R VXR, R VXL, and R AGS variants is Rs2.629m, Rs2.789m, and Rs3.059m, respectively, after a hike of Rs208,000–257,000.
Suzuki raises prices by up to Rs 355000 as Suzuki Cultus VXR, VXL, and AGS are now priced at Rs3.309 million, Rs3.339 million, and Rs3.569 million, respectively, representing an increase of Rs285,000 to Rs335,000.
Suzuki’s GL MT, GL CVT, and GLX CVT now have new retail prices of Rs. 3.479 million, Rs. 3.742 million, and Rs. 4.115 million, respectively. This represents an increase of Rs. 299,000–355,000.
Suzuki Ravi and Ravi sans deck models would be offered for Rs1.539m and Rs1.464m respectively, up by Rs115,000 from Rs1.424m and Rs1.349m.
The revised rates for Bolan Van and Bolan Cargo are Rs. 1.619 million and Rs. 1.606 million, respectively.
According to PSMCL spokeswoman Shafiq Ahmed, the firm has only partially passed on to customers the cost of increased overhead and the state of the economy.
