The 6′ 9″ model is tall and anticipated that one of her best qualities would be height. A brilliant career in basketball, where height is important, helped the young Russian gain favour in the modelling and sports industries early on. No one in Lisina’s family is shorter than six feet, therefore she owes everything to genetics. Even before reaching puberty, Lisina’s son is already substantially taller than his peers, joining her 6’6″ brother, 6’5″ father, and 6’1″ son “mother.
But, according to Inquisitr, being conspicuously larger than the majority of people wasn’t always a benefit. For shy, insecure teenage boys, it’s not exactly the most endearing quality, but it has provided her with plenty of opportunities outside of the classroom.
“When I was 16 I was already 6 foot 6,” Lisina was quoted as saying. “I played basketball professionally since I was 15.”
Nothing short of remarkable can be said about what Lisina accomplished before turning 30 – playing professional basketball, representing her country at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, and exploiting her height to create a modelling career.
Lisina saw how valuable she would be on the basketball court while she was a teenager and going through puberty, which accelerated her growth. She also realised that it could be better to wear a jersey rather than try to break into the catwalk industry.
Her desire to become a model afterwards also materialised. She had to get measured by two independent experts — a doctor and a seamstress — in order to meet the Guinness requirements for the longest legs among women.
As a young, outrageously tall girl, she frequently dealt with bullies and upsetting experiences in her social life. The main motivation behind Lisina’s pursuit of these Guinness records is her desire “to be an encouragement to girls who are not very confident.”
Outside of her house, Lisina felt a little self-conscious, but she always felt secure and protected within. She still has problems getting into a car or a standard aeroplane seat, finding trousers that actually fit her, and finding attractive shoes in her size.
As of right now, Lisina is an Olympic medallist, a professional model with over 1.2 million Instagram followers, and a holder of the Guinness World Record.
