DADU: On Saturday, a final-year MBBS student from Peoples University of Medical and Health Science for Women Nawabshah allegedly shot herself in the head at her house in Dadu.
According to authorities, Dr Asmat, a medical student, shot herself in the head with a gun at her home in Sita. They claimed she had returned to her hometown for a vacation.
Her body was taken to the Sita rural health clinic for a post-mortem examination.
The medical student’s father had filed a FIR with the Sita police station two days before her murder, alleging that four people had harassed his daughter.
He claimed that a man named Shaman was using a bogus marriage certificate to blackmail his daughter into sending him money through a bank account. He alleged that the accused was also threatening the woman’s life.
He said that his daughter committed suicide as a result of the harassment.
