Grand Health Alliance has announced a two-hour token strike starting on Monday.
All medical professionals, doctors, nurses, and paramedics will carry out their regular duties, but for two hours they will observe a token strike.
GHA leaders said, the government is not seriously addressing our problem, and despite our best efforts, no progress has been made. We are giving the Sindh Government a deadline of Wednesday to respond to our requests or we will hold a press conference at the Karachi Press Club to declare a complete boycott of OPD services, election-related responsibilities, COVID-19 tasks, and polio-related duties.
Despite the government’s negligence, our decision is based on the welfare of the patients but the government seems very cruel to pay attention to this all.
It should be remembered that a month and a half ago, a complete OPD boycott was done by GHA in all the hospitals of Sindh and a large demonstration was held outside the CM House, after which the protest ended after the negotiations between the government and the GHA Leaders.
