NAB received nearly 7750 complaints in 2022
In total, NAB receives nearly 7750 complaints in 2022 in total. The 7,744 complaints against corruption and corrupt activities, misuse of public funds, embezzlement, major fraud, assets beyond recognized sources of income, and abuse of power was made to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in 2022.
3,570 complaints were filed at the NAB office in Sukkur, followed by 1,547 in Rawalpindi and 1,871 in Karachi.
While the NAB Lahore office received 513 complaints, Multan received 126, K-P received 64, and Balochistan received 53.
1,075 of the total complaints were in the inquiry stage, and 315 were being investigated.
The Karachi office carried out the most investigations and enquiries, 355 and 91, respectively.
Following Karachi, 134 enquiries and 40 probes are currently active in NAB Sukkur.
