QUETTA: The Pakistan Navy (PN) conducted rescue and relief operations in rain-stricken Balochistan on Friday.
Food packages and drinking water were supplied in the impacted districts of Balochistan, according to a Pakistan Navy official, while medical staff from the Pakistan Navy set many camps.
PN military relocated trapped people to safer areas and provided them with food and shelter.
After a check-up at the camps, people were given complimentary medicines. Pakistan Navy troops also assisted the civil authorities in emptying the accumulated rain water and promised to assist the people in any manner they could.
The majority of Balochistan, including Quetta, has had rain, but the Ziarat and Kan Mehtarzai mountains have seen snow.
Balochistan’s 17 cities received 445mm of rain in total within 24 hours, according to the MET office.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Pasni received the most rainfall in Balochistan during the current wet season (PMD).
Pasni received 115mm of rain in 24 hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., while Gwadar received 64mm, Ormara 60mm, Khuzdar 42mm, Panjgur 29mm, Jiwani 27mm, Turbat 25mm, Lasbela and Pishin 21mm each, Quetta and Kalat 18mm each, Ziarat 09mm, Muslim Bagh 08mm, Barkhan and Kohlu 04mm each, Sibi 03mm
