In a conversation with co-host Umar Cheema in his vlog, Azaz Syed said that the Saudi envoy to Islamabad had informed his government that Asim Munir, who may become Pakistan’s next army chief, belonged to the Shia sect during the inauguration of the new army chief.

Azaz also said that this false news was not given by the Saudi ambassador, but by the Saudi defense attaché posted in the Saudi embassy. “It was the army officers who themselves were in the race to become the army chief, who gave this news to them”, Azaz stated, clarifying that Faiz Hameed was not included in these persons.
According to him, the ISI officer named “Rahmatullah” who is coming forward in this case is one who is currently deployed in Saudi Arabia. These officers are thought to be close friends of Faiz Hameed. It should be mentioned that this Saudi Arabian official has been called to Islamabad for an investigation.
