5-day Polio and Vitamin campaign inaugurated in D I Khan

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dera Ismail Khan Muhammad Qaiser Khan inaugurated a five-day campaign to administer polio drops and Vitamin A capsules to children up to five years of age from January 2 to January 6, 2023 in Dera Ismail Khan.

DC inaugurated the campaign by administering polio drops and vitamin A capsules to the children.

In the entire Dera Ismail Khan District, a polio campaign will be started on Monday January 2 to administer polio drops to children up to five years of age and vitamin A capsules to children from six months to five years of age.

The campaign will run till January 6, 2023.

Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan District Mohammad Qaiser Khan by giving polio drops and vitamin A capsules to the children, inaugurated the five-day campaign.

On this occasion, Deputy District Health Officer (DDHO) Dr. Farooq Gul Bhetanni, Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Coordinator Dr. Muhammad Irfan and other senior officials were also present.

Earlier, a meeting was also held under the presidency of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Muhammad Qaiser Khan in this regard.

During the meeting, the arrangements for the five-day polio campaign starting from January 2 were reviewed and special arrangements regarding security were also finalized.

Deputy Commissioner D I Khan Muhammad Qaiser Khan said, it is the responsibility of the parents to administer polio drops to their children up to five years of age, similarly Vitamin A capsules will also be administered to children aged six months to five years.

The meeting was attended by District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Shoaib Khan, DDHO Dr. Farooq Gul Bhetanni, EPI Coordinator Dr. Irfan, District Health Communication Officer Polio Program Taskeen Abbas and other officials.
