Punjab Public Library Lahore, Board of Governors reconstituted

The Punjab government has reconstituted Punjab Public Library Lahore, Board of Governors, thus appointing fifteen members both official and non-official.

As per the notification, issued by the Archives and Libraries department Secretary Saqib Manan, the board comprises Nayyer Iqbal as chairman while Ex-Director General Pakistan Radio Khurshid Malik as Vice Chairman.

Official members include Secretaries to Archives, Higher Education, Finance, School Education. Moreover, DG Public libraries (secretary) and Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman will be members.

As per the notification, non-official members include Aslam Kamal (artist), Ali Cheema (Educationist), Aziz Shahid (poet), Mohsin Goraya (journalist), Dr Sughra Sadaf, Shamim Aftab and Saira Raza (both politicians). The terms of office for the non-members would be three years.
