Muzammil resolves to take the best possible measures to infuse dynamism and make it one of the most vibrant up-counterparts.
Newly elected Chairman Mr Muzammil Sultan and Mr Junaid Ahmad Bath Vice Chairman of the Faisalabad Dry Port Trust (FDPT) formally took over the new responsibility from January 1 for t022-23.
They took over their offices in a decent but straightforward ceremony attended by Founding Chairman Mian Muhammad Latif, Chaudhry Iqbal Akbar Khan, Engineer Ihtasham Javed, Javed Akbar and Tauseef Bari, in addition to the leading businessmen and exporters of this mega industrial city.
Mr Muzammil Sultan paid his humble gratitude to the trustees for reposing confidence in his leadership. He resolved to take the best possible measures to infuse dynamism and make it one of the most vibrant up-counterparts. “I will ensure close liaison with custom officials and FCCI so that it could become an important segment of the overall economic chain of this city”, he added. “However to achieve this objective, he will need sincere guidance of his seniors”, he said and expressed concern over the current financial status of FDPT and said that this dry port is a blessing for the business community of Faisalabad, and they must pool their energies to make it a total success.
He particularly urged the exporters who were sending their export consignments through other ports to utilise this facility available at their doorsteps. He pointed out that he must improve the services through incentives and competitive transport rates to win their confidence. He said that he was also in touch with the industrial units being developed in M3 and Allama Iqbal Industrial Estates, and hopefully, they would prefer this facility.
