NEPRA notifies Rs1.07 per unit hike for KE consumers

‘Electric shock’ continues as NEPRA approves Rs3.28 per unit hike in power tariff

On Tuesday, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) notified Rs 1.07 per unit increase in power tariff for consumers of K-Electric for October under the monthly fuel cost adjustment (FCA) mechanism.

It would have an impact as Rs 1.9 billion would be recovered in the bills of January, it further said. The FCAs would be applicable to all the consumer categories except lifeline consumers. The Nepra heard the October fuel price adjustment petition on Nov 30.
