‘My father was against my singing,’ reveals Aima Baig

Aima Baig, a Pakistani musician, appeared on Ahmad Ali Butt’s show ‘Super Over,’ where she revealed some shocking facts. Her father, she revealed to the host, was opposed to her singing.

Talking about it, the ‘Kalabaaz Dil’ singer said: “I didn’t get appreciation from my father because he never wanted me to join this field. He said, if you want to join this industry, then remove your surname Baig from your name. When I inquired why? Later on, I agreed to do so. Following that, my mother intervened and told my father that she sings really well and then my father listened to my music and liked it very much. So, he allowed me to do music.”

She also revealed that her father was also a music enthusiast and he used to sing with her friends even before her birth. She added that her father was a vocalist and he still has a melodious voice.

“I like my father’s voice a lot whenever he sings. Although he no longer sings I fondly listen to him whenever he sings,” she continued.

Singer Aima Noor-ul Ain Baig is from Pakistan. She gained fame for her 2015–2017 appearances on the Dunya News programme Mazaaq Raat. She first became well-known for her songs in Lahore Se Aagey, and she continued to become well-known for her roles on numerous other soundtracks and in Coke Studio.
