KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued to rise on Monday, with the per tola pricing of the precious metal increasing by Rs100 on the domestic market.
According to all Pakistan Jewelers Manufacturers Association Chairman Muhammad Arshad, the prices of every tola of yellow metal jumped to Rs126,300 in the domestic market after the hike.
In the local market, the price of 10 grammes of gold climbed by Rs86 to Rs108,282.

In thin trade on Monday, gold prices remained at a six-week high, as safe-haven buying fueled by an Omicron-driven rise in coronavirus infections offset pressure from rising U.S. Treasury yields.
Gold spot was unchanged at $1,824.74 per ounce, following touching a high of $1,831.62 earlier in the day. Gold futures in the United States fell 0.1 percent to $1,826.40.
Spot silver was down 0.7 percent to $23.10 per ounce, platinum was up 0.1 percent to $963.00, and palladium was up 0.2 percent to $1,896.56 per ounce.
